There is an old saying in payroll: “no feedback is good feedback.” Employees simply expect their paychecks to hit their bank accounts on time, every time — no fuss, no mistakes, no surprises. But behind that seamless experience lies a highly complex process that demands specialized knowledge of legislation, compliance, data security and payroll processing.
That’s why many companies in the UK outsource payroll to trusted professionals. While this is becoming increasingly common, there are still many misconceptions — especially around one aspect of modern managed payroll: offshoring.
We’ve put together a comprehensive guide that can address these misconceptions head-on. But first, here’s an overview of what it covers.

What’s Actually Involved in Payroll Outsourcing?
Managed payroll is much more than just someone entering numbers every month. Fully managed services take every aspect of your payroll out of the equation — processing, compliance reporting, HMRC payments, auto-enrollment, P60s, P45s and more.
There are also partially managed options for businesses that want to maintain some in-house capabilities while offloading the heavy lifting to a model. Our guide breaks down both outsourcing payroll models in detail, helping you figure out which model works best for your business.
Why Do Businesses Choose to Outsource Their Payroll?
There are two main reasons: the weight of compliance (HMRC PAYE obligations and reporting, GDPR, auto-enrollment) that drives internal teams away from higher value work, and the need for specialized knowledge that is not available internally.
Sound familiar? You’re not alone — over 6,000 UK businesses currently use IRIS Payroll Services for this reason.
What is Offshore Payroll, and Why Does It Have a Bad Reputation?
When a provider uses overseas payroll delivery, certain tasks are performed by a team based in another country. At IRIS Payroll Services, we use a mix of in-house (UK-based) and overseas teams — and it’s this hybrid model that has attracted some market misconceptions.
Think offshoring is all about taking shortcuts? Not at all — it’s about intelligent service design. Taking routine administrative tasks overseas gives our UK specialists the freedom to focus on what really creates value for clients: complex questions, compliance expertise and proactive planning.
But we know there are still questions. That’s why we created a complete guide to offshoring — so download our guide to payroll outsourcing to get the right answers.
Three Concerns People Have About Offshore Payrolls (And What This Guide Reveals)
1. “Is My Payroll Data Safe on Offshore Teams?”
Data security is the number one concern we hear from companies considering outsourcing payroll. It’s a fair question — payroll data is some of the most sensitive information a business has.
Our guide fully explains how IRIS protects your data in both onshore and offshore teams, including the specific certifications and security standards our offshore operations comply with. If this is your biggest doubt, this guide will put your mind at ease.

2. “Will the Overseas Team Understand UK Payroll Compliance?”
RTI Delivery. Automatic enrollment legislation. NIC calculation. These are complexities that are unique to the UK – and it’s reasonable to wonder whether teams based overseas can handle them accurately.
This guide covers exactly how IRIS trains and accredits its overseas teams to UK payroll standards, including details of the professional qualifications involved. This is stricter than most people think.
3. “What Happened to My Customer Service?”
Payroll is time sensitive. You need responsive, knowledgeable support — not ticket lines. This guide includes our actual customer satisfaction data (not just claims), so you can judge for yourself whether the service holds up.
Spoiler: us NPS for managed services is +40and a customer simply — “The process every month is smooth, easy and doesn’t make me stressed.”

PakarPBN
A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
